The two directors are Alex van der Sluys and John Leppan who both reside in Hermanus.

John Leppan has 20 years in the real estate industry and he is co-principal of Hermanus Property Sales. He has been on a number of Paddocks courses specialising in sectional title and property management. Furthermore, he was involved in the sub-division and implementation of Glen Fruin Meadows Home Owner’s Association which consisted of 25 large erven, rural commonage and the setting up of an equestrian facility. He served as a trustee for several years.

Alex van der Sluys qualified in Building Management and Construction Supervision from 1973. He has been involved in property management since 1980. He has also been involved in the construction industry since 1973. Alex has attended Sectional Title Management courses and has been managing sectional title properties since 1991. Alex chaired the L’Ideal Estate HOA in Paarl from 2003 to 2006 and was chairman of the Kalahari Gholf en Jag Esate HOA during 2012/13 which comprises 350 erven in Kathu in the Northern Cape. Furthermore Alex was involved in the formation of the Sandals Beach Houses HOA in Voelklip, Hermanus.

The HPM office is situated in the Hermanus CBD with boardroom facilities operating on weekdays from 8:30 to 17:00. The office is managed by Gail Liss who is a qualified Scheme Manager.

Ms. Yvonne Rusch and Mariana Nagle are both Administrators, each with their own portfolio of complexes and are both well versed in Pastel.

Upon appointment we as managing agents, would in conjunction with the directors/trustees immediately carry out the following:

  • An Audit on the grounds, buildings and financial status of the scheme.
  • Identify maintenance requirements, and capital projects.
  • Prioritise and implement as efficiently as possible.
  • All existing service and staff contracts would be scrutinised in order to ascertain their service delivery and efficiency.
